Acid’s Reign

Relish Theatre

Tue 14th Mar - Sun 19th Mar
18:45,18:15 (
60 mins)
Theatre
Climate / Drag / LGBTQIA+ Voices
Tickets from £13.00
Venue: The Flair Ground
Age Guidance: 15+
This production contains flashing lights, strong language, sexual references, and references to homophobic abuse that some might find triggering.

Tycoon Alex Acid is returning to the Haus that made them, ready to tear it down and destroy anything and anyone standing in their way, including Mother Nature herself. But Mother won’t sashay away and Acid’s siblings (Sea, Land and Air) are waiting backstage to teach them a long-overdue lesson in environmental responsibility, with the help of a little drag magic. Will Acid reign? Or will they learn to embrace all that Mother Nature has to offer?

Acid’s Reign is a sustainable drag-cabaret play exploring the queerness of nature, and how the climate crisis impacts LGBTQ+ communities. Reuniting writer James McDermott and Relish Theatre following Time and Tide (Park Theatre – “One of the best pieces of new writing I have seen” — Pocket Size Theatre) with music from Joe Beighton (SIX The Musical), and starring Son Of A Tutu (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie film) as Mother Nature!
