Mime and slapstick performer David Hoskin (“Phenomenal” ✭✭✭✭ Broadway World ) presents ‘Hølìdåÿ’ – a beautiful, hysterical and surrealist tale of one man’s attempt to travel around the world.

Collected from a wealth of stories obtained from Hoskin’s global travels – this is a show for all those who have tried to fit in abroad. Merging video art, mime, puppetry and slapstick comedy – this is a soulful spectacle to laugh and fall in love with.

David Hoskin

David is a physical theatre performer, writer and comic.

With a background in music and fine art, developed whilst at Anglia Ruskin (Cambridge) and the Royal College of Art (London), he most recently studied theatre at Ecole Philippe Gaulier.

His multidisciplinary practise explores various threads of physical theatre, music, improvisation and visual arts, combining into a distinct and coherent style of his own. Using his background in art and music, he strives to push the boundaries of traditional theatrical landscapes, resulting in the creation of exciting new works in which interactive storytelling, clowning, and physical comedy are forefront.

Additionally David has worked as part of various collective models of devising and production. These include working with clown practitioner Jon Davidson, theatre makers Funicular Productions, and the running of an alternative comedy night with impro team Rhinoceros. His devising practise includes working with various immersive theatre companies such as Gamepath, The League of Adventurers, and most notably BuckBuck Games on "The Hunt for the Smoking Caterpillar", "The Lord’s Apprentice", and "Questiny" (from the makers of Knightmare Live).

David is a fan of medieval history, wild camping, horror films and Croatia.
