Joz Norris has been making solo comedy/theatre/performance shows for various festivals nationwide since 2013, and his 2019 show, Joz Norris Is Dead. Long Live Mr Fruit Salad, won the Comedians' Choice Award for Best Show at the Edinburgh Fringe. It sold out its Fringe run and transferred to an extended run at Soho Theatre as well as being nominated for the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality and the Chortle Award for Best Musical & Variety Act. His cancelled 2020 show, You Build The Thing You Think You Are, was adapted into a feature film streamed online and hailed as one of the comedy highlights of the year by both the Guardian and the Telegraph. His 2022 show Blink received rave reviews at the Fringe, was one of the Evening Standard's top picks of the Fringe, and again transferred to Soho Theatre.
He wrote and performed a BBC Radio 4 Comedy Special, "A Small Talk On Small Talk," which was a Guardian Audio Pick of the Week, and created, co-wrote and starred in "The Dream Factory," an original sitcom for Radio 4 which was a Radio Pick of the Week in the Observer, the Times and the Mail of Sunday, as well as being featured on the BBC's Comedy of the Week podcast. His sitcom collaboration with Ed Aczel, "Ed & Joz's Heist Movie," was filmed as a non-broadcast pilot by Tiger Aspect in 2019, and his short films and webseries have been Official Selections and award nominees at film festivals worldwide.
