ABOUT THE COMPANY

Mariana Feijó is a queer, Portuguese multidisciplinary artist based in London. Her work as a comedian, writer and photographer is inspired by a need to communicate and create community, drawing from personal experience.

Her practice is influenced by historical archives and research, using stories old and new to connect with audiences. Her love for cinema, sex, food, and community drives her work, with a focus on celebrating marginalised voices, including women, queer and immigrant communities, and those outside of her own identities.

She has studied at prestigious comedy institutions such as the Upright Citizen's Brigade and The Brooklyn Comedy Collective in New York, and is a Soho Theatre Lab alumni.

Her work has been featured on BBC, The Guardian, Duckie, The British Museum, East London Film Festival, and Funny Women, among others.

She produces the Doughty podcast and a variety of comedy nights in London, including Word of Muff. She believes in pushing the boundaries of conventional comedic performance through collaboration and the combining of different art forms, proving that true original work can't be developed within set frames.
