Usually avoid public bathrooms? Here’s one you won’t want to miss!

PUBLIC is a pop/rock musical by new and exciting theatre collective, Stroud & Notes. Watch the story unfold in real-time and laugh your way through, as four unique strangers navigate getting stuck together in a gender-neutral public toilet.

With an hour to wait before maintenance arrives, follow the characters as their patience gets pushed to the limit. Throw in a short-formed feud, plenty of unwelcome surprises and not nearly enough loo roll.
PUBLIC is a musical about identity and connection; things Stroud & Notes believe should be sung about!

Try not to let a bit of wee come out.

Stroud & Notes

Stroud & Notes is a queer-led theatre collective, creating original musicals that focus on conversation, connection and great music.

The creative team is fronted by queer Singer-Songwriter turned Writer/ Theatre Maker Kyla Stroud (They/She.) Kyla made quite a stir as an artist in the music industry pre-pandemic, supporting artists like Emile Sande and Rhys Lewis, plus securing a publishing deal with Kobalt Publishing. They made the bold move into theatre in 2021, realising that's where their passion and creativity truly lied and they haven't looked back since.

Soon after Kyla began penning 'PUBLIC', they brought on collaborator and Theatre Maker Hannah Sands (They/She) to help bring the story and characters to life. Hannah has most recently been working as associate director on '42 Balloons', 'Bloody Elle - The Gig Musical' and was previously resident assistant director at the Royal Exchange in Manchester.

Taking on the role of Movement Director and fellow Theatre Maker is Natalie Stroud (She/Her). Natalie's credits include working for the prestigious Mike Stock as his go-to music video choreographer and is professional choreographer/ associate director at Bullfrog Productions.

Completing the team is Musical Director and Arranger Olivia Zacharia (She/Her). Olivia works extensively across London and has most recently been made resident MD at Crazy Coqs. She has previous experience as MD on the European premiere of 'A Letter to Harvey Milk' at The Waterloo East Theatre and 'Up Close & Personal' at The Union Theatre.
