Roll up roll up! Experience the history of radio retold by a crack team of female idiots in this genre bending explosion of ideas, stories and inappropriate sound FX! Using live foley, a host of household objects transformed into weapons of sound and a highly questionable grasp of so called “facts”, join these clowns as they attempt to disentangle myth from legend in an all singing all dancing deep dive into the creation of the original tech revolution.
Like that film about Zuckerberg but less creepy and with more jokes, [RADIOPHONICS] is an international collaboration between some of the most brilliant/stupid idiosyncratic female performers/sound artists and writers working today.
Press & Reviews
"It is so contemporary, yet so retro, yet incredibly absurd!"
-Elvira Navas, Freelance Producer & Dancer (Spain)
"The combination of sound being made visual, the very interesting story of radio and the performers' precise sense of humour, makes [RADIOPHONICS] a show with great appeal"
-Franzisca Aarflot, Artistic Director at Fossekleiva Kultursenter (Norway)
"Such a kick-arse project using radio as a medium. Such rich, complex, nuanaced work. We chatted about it all the way through dinner and until 3am."
-Pablo Pakula, Lecturer at University of Birmingham and Performance Artist (UK)
