This show was funded by Arts Council England.
The Suitcase Storytelling Company was founded in 2019 by expert storytellers Niall Moorjani and Minnie Wilkinson. Their work blends found object theatre with oral tradition storytelling to simultaneously explore the deeply heartfelt and the wonderfully whimsical, bringing joy to their audiences through original folk tale-style stories with progressive narratives.
In 2022 their debut show 'The Girl and the Dragon' toured the UK, gaining both critical and audience acclaim. They were also given the award for Best Children's Show by the Derek Awards for their run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2022.
They are keen to engage with children and families that don’t often see themselves represented on stage, and bringing storytelling up to date to reflect the diversity of our own world is at the core of their practice.
