Contains strong language, themes of murder, and child death bereavement

With temperatures soaring, two polar bears find themselves cast adrift on an iceberg. Cut off from food and their island prison ever-shrinking, the bears fight to survive. Helped and harried by an Arctic seabird bringing news from the outside world, how will the polar bears navigate life, death and the BBC?

A response to ever-present climate doomerism and the deliberate efforts of those with vested interests to maintain the status quo, Treading Water explores the impact of climate change on those unable to effect change themselves. The piece asks what we can do as individuals when faced with massive, existential challenges over which we have no control.

Funny, touching, heartbreaking and hopeful, Treading Water delivers a novel perspective on how we might choose to live our lives in the face of the climate crisis.
