Em has been kicked out of yet another rented room. With rents rising, and none of her art work selling, she’s got nowhere else to go. Once again she’s been well and truly screwed by London. So when the news of her estranged mother’s death reaches her, Em is very surprised to hear she’s inherited her house in Margate.
But there’s something odd about the house, the smell of burning, the noises creaking out from every corner, the doors that disappear and reappear at will. And that’s nothing compared to her new neighbours.
