The audience is a guest at a run down flat in Earl’s Court in 1989, home to a ragtag group of young women, each with a different story about the side of the world people don’t want to associate with. We drop in on New Year’s Eve as the women are getting ready for the biggest (and riskiest) protest of their lives. Will they go through with it? And will they even succeed?

Goodbye ‘89” is a hilarious, sentimental, and thought-provoking love letter to the pioneering activists of the ‘80s.

Developed at East15 Acting School in 2022, This will be By The Balls Theatre Company’s 3rd outing for their debut critically acclaimed play, “Goodbye ’89”.
