when nell was seven, her mum ran off with a lesbian. now twenty-nine, nell travels to the waterlogged scottish lowlands to meet brigid, her dead mum’s ex-lover. nell wants answers, but instead finds herself drawn into brigid’s damp embodied world…

very wet is a new play about desire and waste, our bodies and the planet. it was longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize 2022.
