The VAULT Festival team grows every year and we’re looking for motivated people from all backgrounds and walks of life to join our team and help us deliver VAULT Festival 2022 – our 10th anniversary festival – returning to venues across Waterloo from Tuesday 25th January to Sunday 20th March 2022!

As the festival draws nearer we’ll have positions suitable for all experience levels across all our departments. Here are the current roles we’re recruiting for.

Deputy Head of Sound

VAULT Festival is looking for two intuitive, enthusiastic, and problem-solving Deputy Heads of Sound to support the running and management of the Sound Department across the festival, including the installation, facilitation, and running of the performance venues, public spaces, and the requirements of the Visiting Artists.

Deputy Head of Lighting & Video

VAULT Festival is looking for an intuitive, enthusiastic, and problem-solving Deputy Head of Lighting & Video to work to help manage all the lighting, video power and distro elements of the Festival.

Front of House (FOH) Assistants

VAULT Festival is looking for TEN welcoming and responsive FOH Assistant to ensure all audiences and visiting artists have a positive and smooth customer experience whilst visiting and engaging with VAULT Festival. We think you’ll likely be suitable for this role if you have held one or more of the following roles before: Usher/Front of House Assistant; Production Assistant/Intern; Other customer facing roles. We’re also interested in hearing from people who don’t necessarily have lots of direct relevant experience, but who consider themselves to be welcoming and are passionate in taking steps to developing a career in customer experience in the arts.

Welcome Team Hosts

VAULT Festival is looking for five warm and responsive Welcome Team Hosts to be at the heart of the Sales and Communications departments, focused on providing a positive and welcoming customer experience for all of our audiences whilst actively working to increase sales. This will be a practical, hands on role, involving face-to-face customer service combining promotion and upselling to achieve sales targets and goals. We are looking for enthusiastic, proactive people with above all a confident and friendly personality, who thrive from working in a busy environment. We are looking for people who are able to clearly communicate and be responsive with our audiences, and one another, who can work independently but also as a team, and be confident in having engaging conversations with our audiences to best support and enhance their visit with us. You’ll be supported by the Box Office Manager and Supervisors to process tickets at the box office, and run the information hubs. This will be a busy, and exciting role, and we will provide full training to candidates who are motivated to provide an exceptional customer experience.

Venue Stage Managers

VAULT Festival is looking for 8 diligent, welcoming, and collaborative Venue Stage Managers to ensure the smooth running of the VAULT Festival venues throughout the duration of the festival. We think you’ll likely be suitable for this role if you have held one or more of the following roles before: Stage Manager; Venue Duty Manager/Technician
