Ruth Connick & Laura Schuller have worked closely together since 2014. They have adapted, co-written and performed several plays in a number of countries, under artist collective Villa Design Group and international artist Than Hussein Clark.

Alexa, Play. at the VAULT Festival 2020 marks the first original production of their newly founded theatre duo Connick & Schuller.
Ruth Connick | Performer | Writer | Set & Costume Designer
Ruth is an actress, comedian and theatre-maker based in North London. Ruth wrote, directed and performed comedy sketch show, 'Sketch Me Suzan' at the FAR Festival 2018 Albany, WA, Australia. In October 2018 she designed three extraordinary costumes and performed in Andrew Logan's Alternative Miss World at Shakespeare’s Globe. Her satirical influencer character ‘This One’ has been well received on instagram and the London comedy circuit, being described as Ali G x AbFab x Love Island x TOWE.
Unlike any of her previous work Alexa, Play. is Ruth’s first full length text.
Laura Schuller | Performer | Director | Producer
Laura is an actress from Hamburg, Germany, living in London. She has been working as an actress since 2010 - having performed in various productions at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, at Kampnagel Hamburg, Schauspiel Hannover and others. In 2015 her solo piece ‘Ein Bodybild’ - a play about body and gender for younger audiences - directed by Martin Grünheit, was invited to to the ASSITEJ Festival for Young Audiences. In 2018 she graduated from Rose Bruford College with an MA in Actor and Performer Training and was awarded with the Jean Benedetti Award 2018.
