After a critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe with 'Shepherd', deadpan comic Annie McGrath returns to VAULT Festival to try out some new material. Annie McGrath is renowned for her joke writing skills and deadpan style. Her 2019 Edinburgh show, 'Shepherd', was met with critical acclaim ("nothing but masterful"- Short Com). Annie wrote and starred in Channel 4’s 'Girls Go Trolling' and ITV2’s '@elevenish'. She has appeared in numerous sketches on Sky Sports’ 'Soccer AM' and her football skills have even made it onto BBC Three. Annie’s stand up has featured on BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio 4 Extra. She has also written for BBC Radio 4’s 'Newsjack'.
Annie appeared alongside Gemma Whelan in 'The Blue Door', an award-winning horror film which was BAFTA nominated (Best British Short Film 2019) and gained international recognition at a number of short film festivals worldwide. Annie makes regular online content with independent producers Turtle Canyon Comedy; her web series 'Baby Shower' was nominated for the 2019 Funny Women Awards in the Best Comedy Web Series category.
She has performed at clubs and theatres nationwide, as well as festivals including Latitude, Green Man, Cornbury, Machynlleth Comedy Festival, Buxton Fringe and the Camden Fringe.Book Now
