Criminal, the anarchic improvised murder mystery show, is back at Vault for another year. Four comedians - one detective and three suspects - must investigate the untimely death of Lady Saltaire. Everyone's a suspect - apart from one of the comedians, who's a detective.

Criminal, produced by Ralph Jones and Joel Gatehouse, is an improvised gig and podcast that has become a regular on the festival circuit and this year staged its debut Edinburgh run at the Pleasance. Comedians to have performed include Deborah Frances-White, Josie Lawrence, John Finnemore, Miles Jupp, Rachel Parris, and Dan Renton Skinner.

Strap in. Things are going to get grisly, and things are going to get weird.

About the company

Ralph Jones and Joel Gatehouse

Ralph Jones and Joel Gatehouse have been working together on comedy projects in various capacities for ten years. Since January 2015 they have been producing and hosting 'Criminal', which has evolved from a gig in a pub to a live monthly podcast hosted at Kings Place, an arts venue in the heart of King's Cross. The night has attracted performers like John Finnemore, Josie Lawrence, Miles Jupp, Miles Jupp and Deborah Frances-White. It is a regular fixture at the Underbelly Festival Southbank and in 2018 made its debut at the Edinburgh Fringe. Together Ralph and Joel perform - albeit sporadically - as comedy double act 'Fat Bat'.
