Criminal

Presented by Ralph Jones and Joel Gatehouse

★★★★★ "Improv doesn't get better than this" - The Wee Review
★★★★ "I was frequently in hysterics" - The 730
"Murder has never been so funny" - Daily Info

Criminal, the anarchic improvised murder mystery show, is back at Vault for another year. Four comedians - one detective and three suspects - must investigate the untimely death of Lady Saltaire. Everyone's a suspect - apart from one of the comedians, who's a detective.

The detective tonight is David Reed (★★★★ - The Skinny) and the suspects are Freya Parker (★★★★ - Time Out), Tom Bell (★★★★★ - The Scotsman), and Alex Lowe ("a comedic genius" - Radio Times).

Strap in. Things are going to get grisly, and things are going to get weird.

About the company

Ralph Jones and Joel Gatehouse

Ralph Jones and Joel Gatehouse have been working together on comedy projects in various capacities for ten years. Since January 2015 they have been producing and hosting 'Criminal', which has evolved from a gig in a pub to a live monthly podcast hosted at Kings Place, an arts venue in the heart of King's Cross. The night has attracted performers like John Finnemore, Josie Lawrence, Miles Jupp, Rachel Parris and Deborah Frances-White. It is a regular fixture at the Underbelly Festival Southbank and in 2018 made its debut at the Edinburgh Fringe. Together Ralph and Joel perform - albeit sporadically - as comedy double act 'Fat Bat'.
