FLIGHT

Presented by DARKFIELD

FLIGHT is the second presentation by DARKFIELD, the creators of 2017 Edinburgh Festival sell out hit SÉANCE. Like SÉANCE, FLIGHT takes place in a shipping container in absolute darkness.7

The many worlds interpretation of Quantum Mechanics proposes that every time there is more than one possible outcome, all of them occur. Countless worlds of varying similarity where anything that can happen is already happening.

Maybe there is some comfort in knowing that however ill advised your choices have been - there is a version of you who made better ones and is suffering from less regret and embarrassment.

Press & Reviews

Niki Boyle, The Scotsman - 4 stars
‘... Absolutely unsettling. The sound and production design are both excellent – in addition to the authentic interior, boarding passes and Kafkaesque safety cards are distributed, all of which enhance the creeping unease.’

Exeunt Magazine, Ben Kulvichit
‘Flight... harness[es] the very uncertainty of pretending, and in doing so create an experience that’s properly exhilarating. It’s a perfectly programmed high-art theme park ride, a reminder of one’s closeness at all times to death that spits you out into the sunlight feeling palpably, certainly, alive.‘
