Jazz

Jazz is a story of rhythm and improvisation, race and privilege, high art and laughing stock. This show is also called jazz.

Martin Willis is a mixed-race bisexual with a penchant for jazz. Startlingly, he's got a great relationship with his mum. Somewhere in all of that is this, his debut hour.

Expect jokes, energy and a Twitter storm. There is also a small amount of dancing, but don't worry, Martin has 14 years of practise under his belt and a silver Jazz Dance Award. No big deal.

Formerly of sketch act Loose Brie

"Former performer" STV

As seen/heard on BBC3, Radio 1, London Live, BBC Radio Scotland & Comic Relief.

About Martin Willis

Objectively Funny is an emerging comedy company that focuses on both producing shows and supporting the mental health of anyone in the industry.

On the latter, we have run free workshops and distributed literature to help performers, producers or anyone else at the Edinburgh Fringe. We were covered by the Guardian, STV and BBC for these efforts, and are now looking to provide such support year-round.

As producers, we have run an annual festival ("the art form's cutting edge" - Guardian) and more recently taken a cohort of shows to the Fringe. We have had sellout successes in Edinburgh, at the Soho Theatre and at the Albany, the central London venue we also programme.

Universal Combo & Members Offers: To save you time (and money) we’ll give you £1 off every time you book to see two (or more) different shows at the same time. Find out more about this and our Members offers on the Special Offers page.

Flexi Ticket: Many events at VAULT Festival have a "Flexi Ticket" option, which will be presented to you, if available, before you get to the Checkout. By choosing the Flexi Ticket option you have the ability to swap your tickets for another performance (of the same show) if you can no longer make the original date. All tickets are subject to availability and customers will need to cover the cost of any difference in price. Adding the Flexi Ticket to your basket will automatically cover all tickets in the order.

Festival Contribution: Every ticket at VAULT Festival includes a £1.50 "Festival Contribution" which is your direct contribution to the continuation of the Festival. It helps us to pay for all the infrastructure, overheads and staff which make the Festival possible. The Festival Contribution is always included in the advertised price of an event, so there are no surprises at the Checkout.
