Critically-acclaimed and award-winning comic and maker-of-things Joz Norris (Comedians' Choice Award for Best Show 2019) spent 5 years trying to express a feeling at the centre of his head, and made a show in 2019 that finally achieved it and became one of the word-of-mouth hits of the Edinburgh Fringe.
Now he's given voice to the feeling he always struggled to close his hand around, he has to figure out what to do next, and that's got him thinking about how we all figure out who we are. You build yourself either by adding, or by taking away. Joz has been adding for 30 years, and maybe it's time to start removing to see what's at the centre of it all.
"You spend your life building the thing you think you are, then something happens that smashes it to bits." - Nick Cave
"A beautifully fully-fleshed depiction of the human experience." - Shortcom
"A comedy legend." - To Do List
"One of the most joyously creative shows you will see this Fringe." - Young Perspective
One of the Guardian's Recommended Shows of EdFringe 2019.
I'm a writer, comic and actor and have been making stand-up/character comedy/absurdist/nonsense/conceptual theatre shows since 2012. My most recent show won the Comedians' Choice Award for Best Show, was nominated for the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality, had a sold-out run at Edinburgh and transferred to a sold-out run at the Soho Theatre which was extended due to popular demand. It was also one of the Guardian's recommended shows of the Fringe in 2019.
I am a key member of the Chortle Award-winning Weirdos Collective (Comedy Event of the Year, 2018) and a Board Member of the Alternative Comedy Memorial Society, and have appeared in such shows as BBC3's Blindboy Undestroys The World, ITV2's Elevenish, Dave's The Dave Talks and Channel 4's Hodge Podge. I recently shot a sitcom pilot with Tiger Aspect which I co-wrote and co-starred in alongside Ed Aczel, and have been a guest on BBC Radio 4's Film Programme and BBC Radio 4 Extra's Comedy Club Interviews.Book Now
