Project2: Improvised Science Fiction

Improvised science fiction with live improvised soundtrack.

Project2 improvise science fiction; the dialogue, the story, the characters, the score and the tech. The show has nods to Firefly, Back to the Future, Blade Runner, Doctor Who, Shaun of the Dead and every sci-fi you have ever watched. You might get something moody like Solaris, or something fun and silly like Futurama, or something elsewhere on that famous Solaris-Futurama scale. Project2 are character-led, truthful and faithful to the infinite genre of Science Fiction.

About the company

They are schooled at IO Chicago, Second City Chicago, UCB New York, The Annoyance and more. Project2 formed a science fiction improv group five years ago after hugely enjoying one another’s work in shows such as 8Bit, Silly String Theory The Maydays and Music Box. The group includes live musicians Fred Deakin (Lemon Jelly) and Tom Adams as well as lighting and sound improviser Tom Bacon. Project2 have performed at Improv Fest Ireland, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival in Austin Texas and in Barcelona as well as in Nottingham, Bristol, Brighton and all over London. They run a comedy night for nerds called Geekeasy and regularly perform their science fiction improv shows in residence at The Nursery Theatre and The Hoopla Comedy Club.

Press & Reviews

"I’ve tried to see this show twice before but it was sold out both times. It was worth the wait."

"...awesome performance of Sci-fi based improv comedy that blew my mind. This was created with great passion and skill by three performers from a group known as Project2; a sci-fi themed mish mash of comedy gold. I was genuinely belly laughing..."

"...their character-driven performance promises to move you with its character-led comedy-drama of a performance, and unearth the beauty of science fiction."
