Richard is an actor, writer, comedian, improviser (and moviemaker). He has appeared on BBC1’s Michael McIntrye’s Big Show, Dave’s Go8Bit DLC, Radio 4’s Sketchorama and various online content for BBC3 and 4oD.
In 2015 he wrote and performed his debut solo show Richard Soames Does The Right Thing and was named one of the five Best New Comedians Heading to The Fringe in The Radio Times. The show received critical acclaim before transferring to London’s Kings Place Theatre. That year he also co-wrote and performed in The Foster’s Edinburgh Best Newcomer Award Nominated show The Story Beast. He is also one quarter of Chortle Award nominated sketch group The Beta Males, plays Lord Fear in sell-out Edinburgh Fringe hit show Knightmare Live and raps as MCD20 in London's hit Dungeons and Dragons show Questing Time.
The show is directed by Matthew Highton, long-time contributor and director for the Chortle Award Winning Weirdos Collective as well as Chortle Award Nominated group Comedians Cinema Club.
