The Martini Encounter in “One Night in Little Rimming”

Presented by The Martini Encounter

Last night, I dreamt I was in Little Rimming-on-Sea, again...

The Carol Vorderman Playhouse in Little Rimming on Sea has seen better days. Which can also be said of former variety entertainers Binkie, Maud and Colin who re-form for one night only for the first time in a decade since the disastrous performance which ended their ‘career’ as The Martini Encounter.

In cabaret format the trio take us hilariously from their former glory days as an act on the crest of a light entertainment ripple to their rehab period and their eventual descent into show business obscurity. Two ukuleles, one organ, sublime vocal harmonies, dubious choreography and gin.

Laugh out loud funny, anarchic and surprising - if Carry On! and Are You Being Served were on recreational drugs and could play the ukulele – this might be the result! Banging toons shaken and served in the unmistakable Martini Encounter style visiting Talking Heads, Alanis Morissette, Queen and Blur via Beyonce, remixed into a cacophonous cocktail the like of which you've never heard. Or wanted to.
