Cat Loud: To the End of the World!

A toast to humanity’s impending doom.

I’d like to propose a toast.

Here’s to the apocalypse.

Because if the end is nigh, I need to wear my Sunday best and get a few things off my chest.

To the End of the World! is a brand new gig-theatre cabaret about love, regret, resistance and hope premiering at VAULT Festival in 2018.

It’s the eve of the apocalypse, and Cat is making her way home.

Delivering cynical humour and slaying a killer set of songs from the likes of Nina Simone, Cat Power and Adele, Cat tries to make sense of how we ended up like this and tries to set her world to rights, before it’s too late.

About the company

Cat Loud

A Glasgow-based singer, writer and torch-singing aubergine emoji, Cat’s style of cabaret sits on the intersection between humorous storytelling, song and never-ending ennui. At home in both theatre spaces and in unusual venues, Cat creates an intimate kind of gig-theatre cabaret performance that is both entertaining and poignant, following a trail blazed by the likes of Bette Midler, Lady Rizo and Camille O’Sullivan, using song as a means of sharing space and communicating experience.

An Edinburgh Fringe regular, Cat has also toured the UK and performed in some of her favourite venues, from An Tobar on the Isle of Mull, to The Byre Theatre’s mainstage in St Andrews, and the illustrious Brighton Spiegeltent.

Best thing I've seen at the fringe so far this year, funny and a great voice.

You’re left hungry for more.

The Play’s The Thing

Cat’s singing is spectacular, effortless and moving… delivered with charisma and great energy.
