After a very expensive and somewhat catastrophic ‘World Tour’, The Artist Formally Known as William Penswick, supposed creative icon Will Penswick, is back on home soil to present his 'finest' poetry, prose and performance in an attempt to get the critical and financial backing he now so desperately needs. Despite multiple sponsorship details, a wealthy family and previous, if insignificant, success, Penswick is struggling to be the artist he wants to be.
A maverick, a renegade, a terrible flirt; A Will of all trades, a master of none...will he prove his greatness? Probably not if he, his technical operator or the audience have anything to do with it.

For Will Penswick: Work In Progress (2019, VAULT)
"One of the absolute funniest things I've seen in my life...Netflix-special-worthy" ★★★★★ Stagedoor (audience review)
Will Penswick is a character comedy performer, writer and producer. From the mind of Will Penswick comes a fearsome trio of comic creations: an eye-scratchingly bad poet (that he is reprising and re-imagining for this VAULT), an eye-catchingly dressed Scandi detective for his 2018 show: 'Will Penswick: Nordic(k)' and an eye-don't know what called Ollie Pfizer-Caskey, an electronic music fanatic who reviews fictional events from around the globe at 'Home Is Where The House Is'. He loves his audience interaction, he loves his nonsensical art and he loves his mum.
StraightUp Productions was founded in 2017 by Mark Bittlestone, Will Dalrymple and Will Penswick. StraightUp was originally a live theatre and comedy production company before the three not-so-wise men realised that they had neither the gravitas nor the common sense to pull off the theatre side of things. But focusing now on comedy, StraightUp host two monthly comedy nights at their home venue - Landor Space, Clapham North - where they have hosted the likes of Ed Gamble, Suzi Ruffell, Ahir Shah, Maisie Adam, Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Shazia Mirza. They also take shows to UK comedy festivals every year and are currently using VAULT to preview their work in progress shows for 2020's festivals.Book Now

Failed love, crippling debt and living with an angry 83-year-old. Not exactly what Maria had in mind when she left LA for the UK. ‘A charming, engaging storyteller’ (BroadwayWorld.com)
A nice, friendly boy does some comedy. "What he lacks in swagger - and possibly friends - he more than makes up in delightful punchlines and entertaining yarns" - Chortle
