EXTINCTION REBELLION TALKS
A series of talks and podcast recordings on the climate and ecological emergency, with a focus on decolonisation and climate justice.
The science is clear: climate breakdown has well and truly begun. We are in the midst of an unprecedented global emergency of our own making.
Here in the UK we are starting to see what many in the Global South have been experiencing for years: floods, wildfires, crop failures, loss of homes, loss of lives.
Why has it taken so long for people to wake up to the emergency, and why are so many still asleep?
Are XR activists only in it to save their own cherubic grandchildren? What do we mean when we chant ‘Climate Justice Now’? What is our vision for a better society and how can we build it if we close our eyes to structural injustice?

Sunday 23rd Feb, 3pm - Decoloniality and Rewilding the Psyche, with Mothiur Rahman.

Extinction Rebellion is an international movement that uses non-violent civil disobedience in an attempt to halt mass extinction and minimise the risk of social collapse.
We have THREE DEMANDS of world governments:
1- TELL THE TRUTH by declaring climate and ecological emergency, and work with media and other institutions to communicate the urgency for change.
2 - ACT NOW to halt biodiversity loss and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2025.
3 - Establish and be led by the decisions of a CITIZENS' ASSEMBLY on climate and ecological justice.
